10 Steps To Feel More Beautiful Inside and Out For 2014


(STEP 1) GET UP EARLY: They say the early bird gets the worm and they weren’t kidding! Take time to enjoy your morning before your hectic day starts. ( STEP 2) MEDITATE : I can’t emphasize how doing one thing, twice a day will change your life! Get still, go within, and the outcome of your life and the people around you will change for the better! It’s a scientific fact that doing Transcendental Meditation (TM) releases stress, anxiety, and helps you noticeably get more focused. (STEP 3) START A DAILY JOURNAL: Write down your thoughts and activities twice a day. After your morning meditation set your intentions and write them down. (STEP 4) BE GRATEFUL TODAY: You must truly love where you are in the now and be thankful in the present moment for what you do have. More abundance will show up when you have gratitude for all things in your world.

(STEP 5) SET YOUR GOALS AND INTENTIONS FOR THE YEAR AHEAD AND GET AS CLEAR AS YOU CAN: Putting your thoughts and affirmations down on paper is the first step to achieving what you want out of life! Don’t procrastinate. Take action steps today for a brighter future and a more beautiful you!

(STEP 6) DID YOU MAKE A NEW YEARS RESOLUTION? There’s always something we can improve on. Working on our challenges and improving a skill or making the effort to change a bad habit will inevitably make you a happier, healthier person and more beautiful inside and out!

(STEP 7) EXERCISE : Release endorphins, be active, it creates a natural high! Anything you love can be your new exercise routine including; yoga, running, dancing or even a long walk. “Keep on moving” is the mantra of the ultra successful. Always remember the people around you mirror the way you feel and your actions. When you look and feel your best it’s always going to make you feel more beautiful!

(STEP 8) JUICING: Drink juice with fresh fruit and fresh leafy green vegetables like kale and spinach at least once a day. (STEP 9) POSITIVITY: Think positive thoughts and keep a smile on your face even through the difficult moments. A smile can go a long way! It will also make you feel more beautiful inside and out. What you project on the outside is also contagious and that is beautiful!

( STEP 10) DAILY SKINCARE RITUAL: Wether your a teen dealing with acne or a 40 year old with concerns of anti-aging, it’s never too early or too late to get on a skincare program that works for your personal skin-type and concerns. Always start with a gentle cleanser, exfoliate, moisturize and protect with an SPF during the day. Never forget your eyes and always use an eye cream! The signs of aging will always show first around the eyes. Remember your eyes are the window to your soul, so pay close attention to them. Ladies always wash your makeup off at night before you go to sleep and repeat your skincare ritual minus the SPF at nighttime. Use an intensive night time cream while your skin is replenishing itself as you sleep. Your skin will look amazing when you wake up and that’s beautiful!

Since sleep and water are basic necessities of life, here’s a few important facts worth doing every day to be your most beautiful self.

SLEEP: Getting the proper amount of sleep every night will make you look and feel your very best throughout the day. The most beneficial hours of sleeping are between 11:00 pm and 3:00 am when your body is working hard to replenish the body and recover from the daily stresses and toxins we are all exposed to. Try to get at least 6-7 hours of sleep every night. If you feel tired because you didn’t get a good nights rest, trust me it shows on your face and that’s not beautiful!

  5. Great list Melissa. I drink tons of water, try to eat well, meditate, focus on sleep and several others. Yet there’s always room for improvement! Great to see everything in one place

Seriously, I do a lot of your list already but those two things I know are missing and need become my new daily habits. Any suggestions for how long to meditate and journal? Time is my greatest challenge.

  7. I’m good with nine out of ten. I do all of them except make New Year’s Resolutions. Instead, I choose a Word of the Year and work on it all year long. Does that count?
